house plants purify air in a vacuum to keep animals out and even make the food healthier.
"The goal was to avoid all the potential environmental effects," Vickers said. "The only one that can have the most lasting effect on the body's ability to breathe is a compound called methanol that's very toxic to humans. " It doesn't have a very long lifespan, which is why you start seeing more and more animal deaths in food packaging."
The study, called The Toxicology of Food Stainless Steel, was funded by the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Hospital and Medical Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering and the University of California, Davis.
The study, which is being published online April 6 in the journal Toxicology & Chemical Biology, used a method similar to a similar pilot study in California. The animals were taken for a short course of 30 days and then treated for over 6 months.
In the experiments, the animals fed methanol were fed a variety of foods ranging from chocolate to corn. After 15 or 20 days, the animals were given a meal that consisted of 5 grams of soy protein and 7 grams of processed vegetable protein. Once the food had been consumed, the animals were given either a large (45 grams) or medium-sized (100 grams) dose of methanol until the end of the course of 30 days. During the 10 weeks in which they were not fed the methanol
