The Home Gardens Center will also be a new location, including a collection of outdoor garden books and gardening tips, to help residents and visitors become plant-focused.

"The home is an inspiration to any gardener," said Dr. David Cagle, the program director. "I'm excited to have this space open so we can focus our efforts in the Gardener's Crop section. It's a great way to add a new focus and encourage a conversation about the importance of creating a garden, and what each garden does best."

The idea of making hydrogen cyanide (CPD), a popular ingredient in soda, had been dormant for decades.
