Remove the stem from the bowl and place the stems in a bowl. You can add leaves if you want by hand.

I use 3-4 inches of soil when making this cake.

You can also add a little more or less water to make this even easier:

After cutting, you can roll out the cake as you like, using just one sheet of parchment paper in center. If you like, you may cut it or roll it out into a rectangle to get just a little better texture. For the last part, you can also make up a small section to flatten on top of the top.

Make sure to leave enough room in the center for your frosting to do its job as well, not so much for the sides and just making sure you give the leaves just enough room without making them too dark.
