In July 1994, Saini told the BBC that she had been informed that the Punjab government was planning to create an official climate-protection centre called the 'Makatak' (greenhouse). This would monitor air quality, plant food production, and the use of natural resources such as trees, grasses, and water.
One of these activities would include creating a 'paradise habitat', and, according to Saini, one of the things the government had decided was to create an area near a school of art that he had never seen.
At this time, Saini's research for his book Saini: Inside Pakistan, Pakistan's First Landscape Biomass was out in paperback (and, due in August 1996, was due to be out in paperback. The book is now available in the online store by clicking here).
At a later time, Saini's research, published in 2007, was being presented alongside other scientists whose work was exploring the effect of climate change on biodiversity, notably Professor Arvind Narayan, the former director and the director of conservation at the Environment Protection Agency. In his forthcoming book, 'Climate change affects biodiversity' Narayan argues
